Five Steps to class your vessel
Step 1
Shipowner contracts RBNA
Step 2
Design company sends the complete ship design to RBNA Plan Appraisal
department.
Step 3
RBNA engineers re-calculate the ship and look for compliance with RBNA Rules
and IMO Regulation.
Step 4
With the checked plans, RBNA surveyors go through the ship construction
performing tests and looking for compliance with the approved plans.
Step 5
Successfully ending step 4, the ship receives Class and Statutory certificates.
The certificates testify the quality and the safety of the ship. The
credibility of the Classification Society is directly linked to the
certificates acceptance by insurance companies, transportation companies, flag
states and end-users.
After receiving the certificates, the ship is in the Class Maintenance program
with periodic surveys. At the end of the validity of the certificates, a full
renewal survey is performed.
